Kathy
Kathy has come out of the pregnancy blur brian and is starting to join us again. She has gone from feeling sick (which she never got sick) to feeling better but fussy. Yep, this is Chapin writing this. But she is doing well.
Baby Burgess 2nd DR Visit
Last Wednesday Dec. 15, 2010 we went for our second Doc visit and finally got to meet a doc. All is going well and Kathy is now 13 weeks and 2 days today. We don't know yet if it is a boy or girl but we are happy with either as long as it has four arms and two legs so it can lend a hand on the farm. :) LOL I'm joking.

Baby Burgess 1st DR Visit
Today Kathy and I went to the OB/GYN for the first time. They did an ultrasound and we got to see for the first time our new baby. They say it is seven weeks and two days old and that they expect it to be born on June 26, 2011. I say since people in my family like to be born on each other's Bdays that it will be born on July 1 my mom's Bday. The heartbeat was a steady 164 bpm. I think they told us it was 7mm long. It was very cool to see and hear. It was also nice knowing that the over the counter test was correct and there really is a baby.
So what do we do when we finished at the DR? We went to Babies R Us to start our new education. Uhhhmm. I could not find any power tools or lumber so I am totally lost in this store. I did however find a very comfy rocking chair. I could not believe that it did NOT have heat and a massager built in what are those manufactors thinking? I also thought the car seat should have a remote control for heat, massage, rocking, music but we only got laughed at when I asked for it. I thought this was the good ol' USA where we thrive on creature comforts. I guess it hasn't hit the baby market yet. We learned at Babies R Us that if we register we come in the store and have a scanner to scan the items we want and they upload to a website for all to see. How cool! I don't have to write things down just point and click.
